Middle Pelling & Rimbi Road
Quieter hotels just below the ridge along the Rimbi Road, many with view-facing rooms. Good balance of calm and convenience.

Forested estates beside Pemayangtse Monastery and Rabdentse. Heritage and luxury resorts; you’ll need a car to reach the market.

How to book the right room in Pelling
- Ask for a “Kanchenjunga-facing” or “mountain-view” room by name — in many hotels only some categories face the peaks.
- Peaks are clearest from October to March, usually between sunrise and about 9 am.
- Check whether room heaters are included; nights are cold from November to February.
- Breakfast-and-dinner (MAP) plans are popular because most kitchens close early in Pelling.
- Carry cash — ATMs are few and can run dry in peak season.
